Louise Goffin

Louise Goffin grew up in Los Angeles with parents who were both songwriters, Carole King and Gerry Goffin. She started releasing her own music in the late 1970s, putting out albums like 'Louise Goffin' in 1979 and 'Kid Blue' a couple years later. Her songs include tracks like 'Archives' and 'Baby, Come 'Round to Me'.

She worked with other musicians over time, including James Taylor and Jackson Browne. There was some confusion early on when one of her songs got attributed to her mother by mistake, which says something about finding her own space in that family business.

Her later albums came out more sporadically, with 'Leave the Light On' arriving in 2013. The music tends toward personal reflection, with straightforward arrangements that let the writing come through.
