Lovalot Banks

Lovalot Banks formed in 2008 around vocalist and songwriter Marcelo Lira in São Paulo. The band's name plays on the Portuguese phrase 'lavando o banco,' which means 'cleaning the bench.' Their music draws from classic heavy metal like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, but with a raw intensity that carved out its own space in Brazil's metal scene.

Their debut album 'Opus Diaboli' came out in 2010, followed by 'Tempus Eternitatis' in 2013 and 'The Apocalyptic Death Cult' in 2016. Songs like 'Filma Essa Demônia' and 'Codinome Venenosa' show their tendency toward dark, introspective lyrics and thunderous riffs that sometimes incorporate doom metal or progressive rock elements.
