Love and Rockets

Love and Rockets formed in 1985 after the members left Bauhaus, with Daniel Ash on guitar and vocals, Kevin Haskins on drums, and David J on bass and vocals. Their debut album, 'Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven,' came out that same year, carrying over some of the dark, atmospheric feel from their previous band but starting to shift toward something lighter and more psychedelic.

By 1986, they had a hit with 'So Alive' from the album 'Express,' which brought them more attention with its catchy, upbeat sound. Other songs like 'No New Tale To Tell' and 'Holiday On The Moon' showed their range, mixing post-punk with folk and electronic touches across albums like 'Earth, Sun, Moon' and their self-titled 1989 record.

The band broke up in 1999 after some internal tensions and disputes, including David J's legal issues with a former label. They reunited briefly in the late 2000s for a few shows and a new album, but haven't been consistently active since.
