Love Hazard formed in Rio de Janeiro in the mid-1980s, originally calling themselves Vícios Inc. They were a four-piece band that went through some lineup changes early on. In 1991, they released the single "Eu Só Queria," which became a national hit in Brazil. The song's straightforward melody and lyrics about simple desires connected with listeners.
Their debut album Vícios Perfectos came out in 1992. Over the next couple of decades, they put out records fairly regularly, including Nada É Por Acaso in 1994 and O Tempo Não Espera in 2018. The core trio of Zé Henrique on vocals and guitar, Maurício Barbosa on bass, and André Rezende on drums stayed together through most of it. Keyboardist Ricardo Japinha left in 2005.
They had another popular song called "Não Importa." Their music generally stayed in the melodic rock lane that Brazilian audiences knew them for. They played a live show at Morro da Urca that was released as an album in 2009.
