Love Is Red formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, with Bryan Giles on vocals and guitar, Matt Burke on bass, and Jon Reeve on drums. They started as Resin before changing their name in 1998. Their debut, 'The Red Album,' came out the following year and included the track 'All That's Ahead Points to Forever,' which built them a cult following.
They put out a series of albums named after colors, like 'The Blue Album' in 2001 and 'The Gold Album' in 2004. Songs such as 'Can I Trust You Again?' and 'I Gave You The Best Of Me' show their style of atmospheric rock with introspective lyrics. Their stage presence and the content of their songs sometimes drew speculation and rumors about the band members.
They kept recording through the 2000s, releasing 'The Silver Album' in 2007 and 'The Black Album' in 2010. The lineup with Giles, Burke, and Reeve remained consistent through these records.
