Love Me Electric started in New Jersey around 2015, originally called Lions Lions. The group was made up of brothers Christian and Josh Romanowski and their friend Austin Holmes. They put out their first album, "Hollywoodland," in 2017.
A year later, their song "The 30 Rack Anthem (Write Me Off)" got a lot of attention. It became something of an anthem for a certain crowd, and the band had to deal with a legal fight over the rights to it in 2019. They followed up with another album called "Nothing Is Beautiful" in 2020.
