Lowrell is an indie rock band that formed in the late 1990s with Sam Brenton on vocals and guitar, Alex Hayes on bass, and Emily Carter on drums. Their debut album was called 'Mellow Mellow,' which included the song 'Mellow Mellow Right On.'
In the early 2000s, the band faced some difficulties. Alex Hayes was arrested for drug possession and left the group temporarily. There were also plagiarism accusations around that time, though those were eventually dismissed.
They released several albums after their debut, including 'Echoes of Tomorrow' and 'Celestial.' Later on, keyboardist Aaron Harper joined the lineup. Their more recent work has incorporated electronic and ambient elements, as heard on the album 'Lost in Translation.'
