Luan e Leomar

Luan Severiano and Leomar Nunes met in Redenção do Gurgueia, a small town in Piauí, and started performing together as a duo. They released their first album in 2014, which included the song 'Ladrão de Mulher.' That track became a hit in the forró scene, with its straightforward melody and lyrics about a womanizer who steals hearts.

Their music is forró, a lively Brazilian genre from the northeast. Songs like 'Calça Jeans' and 'Brinde do Adeus' kept their sound in rotation at parties and on radio. They put out albums every couple of years, including 'Pagode do Vaqueiro' in 2016 and 'Forró com Fé' in 2018.

In 2018, Leomar was arrested on drug possession charges. The duo kept working after that, releasing 'Estrada do Forró' in 2020. Luan handles most of the lead vocals.
