Luciana Benedito grew up in Guarujá, São Paulo, in a family that listened to Bossa Nova and traditional Brazilian rhythms. She started performing at local festivals in her late teens, and put out her first album, Luz do Sol, in 2010.
Her song 'É Preciso Fé' came out in 2014 and became a hit in Brazil. Its message about faith and perseverance connected with listeners. Another track, 'Toca Nas Vestes Dele,' also appears among her popular work.
In 2016, she announced her conversion to Catholicism, which drew some criticism. She has released three albums: Luz do Sol, É Preciso Fé, and Viva.
