Lucket

Lucket formed in Brooklyn around 2017 with Anya Rostova on vocals, Ethan James on guitar, Sophia Khan on bass, and Marcus Chen on drums. They started playing small venues and working through the usual early struggles before their song 'Emotions' caught on in 2020. That track, along with others like 'Isekai' and 'Temporais,' helped build their audience.

Their first album, 'Echoes of the Heart,' came out in 2021, followed by an EP called 'Whispers of the Soul' and a single titled 'Unbreakable.' The music pulls from indie rock and pop with some ambient touches, though it's mostly built around Rostova's vocal delivery and the band's straightforward arrangements. In 2023, Rostova made some public comments about racism in the music industry, which drew attention but didn't really define their sound.

Lucket's catalog includes songs like 'Refúgio,' 'Random Trip,' and 'Slime Business,' which continue in a similar vein, direct, slightly moody pop-rock that doesn't overcomplicate things. They haven't released much since those earlier records, but the songs they put out still get played.
