Lucky formed in the early 2000s when Fábio "Fabinho" Costa and Alex Calil started playing together. Their song "Eu e Você No Lençol" came out in 2004 and became a hit in Brazil, helping their self-titled debut album find an audience.
Alex Calil left the band in 2006, and Marcos Lima joined as lead vocalist. They kept recording, putting out albums like "Eu Tive Sorte" in 2006 and "Deixa o Amor Entrar" in 2009. Another track, "Run Away," also appears among their popular songs.
By 2014, they had released a compilation called "Lucky 10 Anos." The group's lineup settled with Fabinho on bass and vocals, Marcos Lima singing lead, and a guitarist named Marqui.
