Their self-titled debut came out in 2005, but it was the 2007 album '2000 Miles' that gave them their breakthrough. The title track became their most recognizable song, a straightforward ballad about distance that connected with listeners.
Key had throat surgery in 2008, which paused things for a while. They put out other songs like 'California Girl' and 'Be The One' over the following years, sticking mostly to their pop-punk lane while trying out different production approaches here and there.
