Ludovico Einaudi

Ludovico Einaudi was born in Turin in 1955. He studied piano with Carlo Balzaretti and later worked with composer Luciano Berio. His music draws from classical, jazz, and world music, though it's often described as atmospheric or minimalist.

His 1996 album 'Le Onde' brought wider attention, followed by records like 'Eden Roch' and 'Divenire'. Pieces like 'Nuvole Bianche' and 'Taranta' show his approach to melody and texture. Some critics have called his work too simple, but he's kept to his style.

He's recorded over a dozen studio albums, including 'In a Time Lapse', 'Elements', and the 2019 project 'Seven Days Walking'. He's also written for film and television. Einaudi has performed at places like the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House, and has worked with musicians including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and singer Damien Rice.
