They put out albums like Arrocha com Dendê in 2005 and Louco de Paixão in 2007, and tracks like "Agarra, Agarra / Fazê Bebê / Você Não Vale Nada" and "Fica Comigo" kept that sound going.
They faced criticism for lyrics some saw as too explicit, but their shows drew crowds who responded to the energy. The music wasn't polished or subtle, but it had a grip. By the time they released O Arrocha É Nosso in 2010, they'd already made their point: this was party music with an edge, rooted in that part of Bahia.
