Luiz Marcelo and Rafael started playing together in Praia Grande, São Paulo, with Luiz Marcelo on guitar and vocals and Rafael on accordion. They worked local bars and festivals before their first album came out in 1998.
Their song "Amor de Praia" became a summer favorite in Brazil, and they've kept releasing music since, including tracks like "Amor Virtual" and "Cantinho do Coração." In 2004 they had some legal trouble with a former manager, but they kept going.
They put out an album called "Samba e Pagode" in 2022. Luiz Marcelo was born in 1964, Rafael in 1966.
