Luke, I Am Your Father formed in 2008 with Luke O'Connell on vocals, Mike O'Connell on guitar, Ben Jones on bass, and Adam Pierce on drums. Their first album was called 'The Dream of 1,000 Nights.' They kept touring and eventually put out 'Carving Thoughts' in 2014, which got some radio play and gave them a wider audience.
After that, they released 'Oscillate' in 2016 and 'Utopia' in 2018. Their songs like 'Dusk' and 'Enkidu' have a layered, atmospheric quality that mixes rock with some electronic touches. In 2017, a former member accused Luke O'Connell of abusive behavior, which led to a temporary pause in the band's activities. Jones and Pierce eventually left, leaving Luke O'Connell as the only original member still in the group.
