Luli e Lucina

Luli e Lucina are a duo from São Paulo, Brazil, formed by Luiza Possi and Lucinha Turnbull. They started singing together as children in their parents' living room, working through Brazilian melodies that would later shape their sound.

Their 2017 debut single "Primeira Estrela" brought them wider attention with its straightforward ballad style. The song's title, meaning "First Star," became something of a touchstone for their early material. They followed it with tracks like "Éta Nóis!" and "Cheiro de Rosa," which kept to a similar blend of folk and pop elements.

They've released two studio albums, a self-titled one in 2018 and "Caminho" in 2021, and have worked with artists including Renato Teixeira and Milton Nascimento. Their music draws from various Brazilian traditions without making too much of a show about it.
