Luna Comet formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2010, led by vocalist and guitarist Lyra. The band's sound mixed indie rock and folk with Brazilian rhythms, anchored by Lyra's vocals and harmonies from bassist Leo, drummer Gabriel, and keyboardist Maya.
Their 2015 single "Minha Escolha" became a breakthrough hit in Brazil. The song's feminist message drew both support and criticism from conservative groups, though the band continued performing it.
Luna Comet released their debut album "Luz e Sombra" and other songs like "A Vida Que Segue" and "Como era Antes."
