Luna Obscura

Luna Obscura formed around vocalist Celeste and guitarist Damien in the late 1990s, later adding bassist Erik and drummer Raven. Their debut album 'Ex Caelis Oblatus' arrived in 2002, with the title track becoming a notable piece in their catalog. The band's sound leaned into gothic rock territory, built around Celeste's distinctive vocals and Damien's melodic guitar work.

They followed up with 'Sanctuary' in 2005, which showed some evolution in their approach. Other songs like 'A grief observed' and 'Dance Of Forsaken Souls' represent the kind of material they were known for during this period.

Their music operated in that space between the ethereal and the grounded, with song titles like 'Codex Daemonicus 1516' and 'Away' suggesting their thematic interests. They were part of that wave of gothic rock that found an audience in the early 2000s, working with the atmospheric textures and melodic structures the genre favored.
