Lunatic Soul

Lunatic Soul is the solo project of Mariusz Duda, who also plays bass and sings for the progressive rock band Riverside. He started it in 2008 as a separate creative space from his main group, working mostly alone with occasional help from other musicians like Piotr Grudziński on keyboards.

Their music tends toward the quiet and reflective, with songs like "Adrift" and "Walking On a Flashlight Beam" built around themes of solitude and introspection. The albums have titles that suggest similar territory, Through Shaded Woods, Under the Fragmented Sky, and the sound stays in that atmospheric, sometimes melancholic lane.

Duda has kept Lunatic Soul going alongside Riverside, releasing records every few years without much fanfare or drama. It's a low-key project that does one thing and does it consistently, letting the music speak for itself.
