Lustre

Lustre formed in Los Angeles around 2016, with Anya Espejo on vocals and songwriting alongside guitarist Ethan Hayes, bassist Lucas Grey, and drummer Marcus Stone. Their early work had a dream pop and indie rock feel, with ethereal vocals and layered instrumentation that drew some comparisons to bands like Cocteau Twins and The xx.

In 2018 they put out a debut single called "A Summer Night" that got some attention, followed by albums like "In the Hours of Darkness" and "All That Remains." Songs like "Blossom Part 1" and "Moonlit Meadow" show their preference for atmospheric, drifting arrangements rather than straightforward pop structures.

Their catalog includes several two-part pieces, like "Blossom Part 2" and "Night Spirit (part 1)," which suggest they were working in longer, more segmented forms rather than chasing radio hits.
