She worked with musicians from Brown's circle, including Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley. Collins continued recording through the 1970s with albums like 'Me and My Music' and 'Check Me Out If You Don't Know Me.'
She passed away in 2006. Her recordings, particularly 'Think (About It),' have been sampled and referenced by various artists in later decades.
