Lyndzie Taylor

Lyndzie Taylor came up in New Orleans, where she grew up hearing gospel and blues. She started singing early, taking cues from Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill. In 2006, she put out her self-titled debut album, which had the song 'Day After Day' on it.

That track became her calling card, landing on R&B charts and getting attention. She followed it with another album called 'Love and Consequences' a few years later. Along the way, she worked with Snoop Dogg and Musiq Soulchild on some recordings.

There was a legal issue around 2010 that got some press, but she kept writing and recording afterward. She hasn't put out a major statement about where things stand now, but the music from that first decade still turns up.
