M. L. Sara Nossa Terra formed in the early 1980s in Parque Ribeirão, led by singer and songwriter Dudu Nobre. Their debut album came out in 1985, and one of their early songs, 'Eu Te Louvarei,' became particularly well-known. The band's music often blended samba, reggae, and gospel sounds.
Over time, the group released more than twenty studio albums, including titles like 'Água Viva' in 1992 and 'Renascer' in 2000. Other songs like 'Senhor da Glória' and 'Mateus 11' also appear among their work. Their lineup included members like Marquinho Siqueira on bass and Paulo Malheiros on drums.
In 1998, trombonist Luizinho da Silva, who had been part of their sound, passed away. The band's religious themes sometimes drew attention, but they kept making music into the 2000s with albums such as 'Pra Não Dizer Que Não Falei das Flores' in 2005.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
