They came out of the gate with 'Blood Red Moon' in 2008, and songs like 'Unknown Suffering' and 'The Dark Desire' defined their sound. Critics called it too aggressive, and their lyrics and stage presence provoked strong reactions. For about ten years, they explored darker themes without much compromise, built around Cavalera's guitar and a relentless rhythm section.
The band formed in Los Angeles in 2007 around guitarist and vocalist Max Cavalera, who had been in Sepultura. They released 'Blood Red Moon' the next year, followed by 'Second Skin' in 2012 and 'Hell in Sight' in 2016.
