M28 formed in 2005 with Felipe Valente on vocals and guitar, David Mendes on guitar, Juliano Almeida on bass, and Gabriel Nascimento on drums. They worked through early financial constraints and limited recognition, eventually releasing the single "Teu Amor Me Aquece" in 2013. That song became a hit in Brazil, helping establish the band's presence.

Their albums include "Sonhador" from 2014, "Livre" from 2016, and "Origens" from 2018. Other songs like "Até o Fim" and "Indícios do Fim" reflect their focus on themes of love and resilience. The lineup later shifted to include drummer Rafael Gonçalves while Valente remained as frontman.

In 2019, a video showed Valente using derogatory language at a concert, which drew public criticism. The band apologized and addressed the incident directly. They've collaborated with artists including Anitta, Luan Santana, and Gusttavo Lima.
