Mac 10 was the stage name of Dedrick D'Mon Rolison, a rapper who came up in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. He first gained attention as part of the group Above the Law alongside MC Eiht. In 1995, he went solo and released his debut album 'The Mac 10,' which included the track 'No Dick.'

That album and its lead single drew criticism for their explicit content, but they also found an audience. He followed it with albums like 'The Recipe' in 1997 and 'Bang or Die' in 1999. Songs like 'Mack 10's The Name' and 'For The Money' became staples of his catalog.

His career was marked by legal issues, including a parole violation in 1996 and a weapons charge years later. He worked with West Coast figures like Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. While his output slowed in later years, his early records maintained a raw, confrontational style that connected with certain hip-hop listeners.
