Machingon formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 2013 with Miguel Méndez on vocals and guitar, Rodolfo Ávila on bass, and Rodrigo Dávila on drums. They started playing local bars and clubs around the city.
Their song "Perdóname" came out in 2018 and became their most recognizable track. The band released several albums including Machingon in 2014, El Origen in 2016, and La Voz de la Calle in 2020.
They've played shows across Latin America, the United States, and Europe. The music mixes ballads with cumbias, and Miguel Méndez's vocals carry the emotional weight in songs like "Perdóname."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
