Their 2002 debut album 'Maré Mansa' and single 'Apartamento 10' found a Brazilian audience.
For a feel of their sound, try 'Domingo Feliz' or 'Apartamento 10.' They're straightforward, everyday songs.
They mixed samba, reggae, and MPB into songs about city life and relationships, like 'Domingo Feliz' and 'Bebendo e Cantando.' 'Apartamento 10' from their first record really stuck with people. Even a 2008 plagiarism issue over 'Tudo Acabou' didn't stop them from putting out albums into the 2010s.
They started in Fortaleza with Marcio Forte on vocals, Roberto Ruffino on guitar, Beto Félix on drums, and Zé Mário Baiana on bass. After 'Maré Mansa' in 2002, they released 'Pé na Estrada' in 2004 and 'O Som do Mar' in 2014.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
