A Porto quartet blending alternative rock and introspective lyrics since 2001.
For a good sense of their range, try 'Outra Vez' for their rock side and 'Enquanto Sós' for something more subdued.
Maglore's sound has held steady in Portugal's rock scene for over two decades, anchored by the Moreira brothers' core partnership. Songs like 'Outra Vez' and 'Talvez' show their knack for melodic rock that doesn't shy from quieter moments. Their 2013 album 'Piano' leaned into more reflective territory without losing their guitar-driven foundation.
They started in Porto in 2001 with the lineup of Telmo Moreira on vocals and guitar, Rui Moreira on drums, Ricardo Esteves on bass, and Diogo Sousa on guitar. After their debut 'Passageiro' in 2003 and 'Voo' in 2005, they briefly rebranded as 'Anti' in 2006 due to legal issues. The self-titled 2009 album and 'Piano' in 2013 marked shifts toward a more considered sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
