Magrellow formed in 1994 in London, led by vocalist Kain. Their debut album 'Kano' came out in 1996, with the title track becoming something of an anthem at the time. The band's sound mixed ethereal vocals with distorted guitars and industrial rhythms.
Their lyrics often dealt with alienation and addiction, which drew some criticism. Their stage shows incorporated physical theater and audience interaction, which also raised eyebrows. They kept making music through it, with songs like '6 Treme' and 'Um Pedaço De Mim' in their catalog.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
