you place the knife to the edge of my focus

and pull slowly across to release me from this lull in synapse as traps for tigers await

to consume my patience

i hope that i can forgive or at least forget

after all we have been through

and then you give it all up for nothing

and I sit and wait for resolve

i feel a pull

and I cannot deny

for you don't want what you don't want

what I can see is fair

only asked for complete understanding

and a voice to go with it

but as we reshape and realign

our desires place less weight on the commitment

is the cause of concern for now
