Mal Momento formed in 1960s Argentina with Billy Bond on vocals and guitar, Moris on vocals and guitar, Javier Martínez on bass, and Rodolfo García on drums and vocals. They put out records like 'El Jardín de los Presentes' in 1967 and 'Contracultura' the following year. Their music mixed psychedelic rock with some Latin rhythms, and their lyrics touched on drug use and social issues, which didn't sit well with everyone at the time.
One of their songs, 'La Bruja Y El Cazador', became something of a rebel anthem. They kept recording through the early 1970s with albums like 'Botafogo' and 'Loco, Drogado y Suicida'. Their live shows had a reputation for being pretty provocative, fitting in with the counterculture movement of the era.
You can still hear their influence in some of the rock that followed.
