Mallak formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1995 with Edgard Scandurra on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Santos on bass, Paulo Miklos on drums, and Toni Bellotto on keyboards. Their self-titled debut album came out that same year and included the song 'Quando o Dia Acaba.'
That track became their most recognizable work, a melodic rock piece with the kind of introspective lyrics that connected with listeners. They followed it with albums like 'Voo' in 1996 and 'Malakheit' in 1998.
The matter was never fully resolved in the public eye.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
