A reggaeton and Latin pop star who broke through with "Felices Los 4" and kept going from there.
For a sense of his sound, "Felices Los 4" is the obvious place. "Borro Cassette (Versión Salsa Choke)" shows a different side.
Maluma's 2015 album "Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy" and its lead single "Felices Los 4" turned him into an international name. That song's video was the first by a Latin artist to hit one billion views on YouTube in 2018. Later tracks like "Hawái" and "Sobrio" have kept him on the charts, even as his lyrics have drawn some criticism.
He started as a teenager in Medellín, with his 2010 debut "Farandulera" getting local notice. Things shifted a few years later with his 2015 breakthrough, and he's put out albums like "F.A.M.E." in 2018 and "Papi Juancho" in 2020 since.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
