Mameshiba No Taigun formed in Osaka around 2015. The band's name translates to 'Army of Bean-Sized Dogs,' which hints at their playful approach. Their early lineup included vocalist Yuya Torigoe, guitarist Seiji Kameda, bassist Takamichi Ichikawa, and drummer Hirotaka Takahashi.
Their debut single 'Starry Night' got some attention, and they followed it with songs like 'Rocket Start.' The band's first album was also called 'Rocket Start,' and they later put out records titled 'Galaxy' and 'Cosmic Seed.'
In 2018, they faced some criticism over lyrics that were seen as insensitive, which led to a public apology. The members have also worked on other projects, with Torigoe releasing solo music as Yuyoyuppe and Kameda collaborating with artists including the K-pop group TWICE.
