Mamma Mia Brasil formed in 2003 as a Brazilian group dedicated to performing ABBA songs. Their lineup includes Juliana Arantes on lead vocals, Fernanda Franco on vocals and keyboards, Gilson Langer on guitar, Marcelo Lima on bass, and Fred Andrade on drums.

They built their set around ABBA's catalog, with songs like "E Tudo Ao Vencedor (the Winner Takes It All)" and "Dancing Queen" becoming central to their performances. Their version of "Money Money Money" and "S.O.S." also appear regularly in their shows.

In 2013, the band faced a plagiarism accusation from ABBA songwriters' heirs, which they eventually resolved. They've continued performing ABBA material in Brazil and internationally since then.
