Mandy Musgrave formed a band in 2015 with musicians Jake Embry on guitar, Sam Hopkins on bass, and Johnathan Long on drums. They released their debut album 'Hold On' in 2017, which included the title track of the same name.
That first album came out of Austin, Texas, where Musgrave had been singing and writing songs. The band put out two more records after that: 'Anchor' in 2019 and 'Rise' in 2022.
Some listeners questioned whether their sound was too similar to other artists, but the group kept playing shows and recording. Musgrave received some award recognition in 2020.
