Archive material and source history

Mano Biiko formed in 2014 when Leonardo Antônio, Elder Costa, and Bruno Melo started playing together. They're from the sertão region of Piauí, and their music draws on local rhythms like forró, baião, and xote.

Their song 'Chegou o Vaqueiro' came out in 2015 and became popular nationally. It gave the band wider recognition and was the title track of their debut album that same year.

They've released several albums since then, including live recordings from Mossoró in 2016 and an arena show in 2019. Their 2022 album was called 'Forró de Buteco'.
