Manu Gavassi started posting covers and original songs online as a teenager in São Paulo. She signed with Universal Music Brazil in 2010 when she was 17, and her self-titled debut album came out the next year.
Her song 'Planos Impossíveis' became a hit in 2016. A few years later, 'Deve Ser Horrível Dormir Sem Mim' with Gloria Groove drew criticism for lyrics some found insensitive toward mental health struggles.
In 2020, she appeared on the reality show Big Brother Brasil, which brought her wider attention. She released her fourth album, 'Gracinha,' in 2021.
