"Silva" became popular in Armenia and later reached audiences in other countries. In 1999, a Russian cover version of the song did well on charts in Russia and some former Soviet states. Menengichian released albums including "Silva" in 1989, "Hayastan" in 1991, and "Armenian Soul" in 2007.
