His debut album 'Fado com Amor' came out in 1983, and it included 'La Luna Gris,' which became his most recognizable song. He kept recording through the 80s and 90s, putting out albums like 'Asas do Vento' in 1985 and 'Mar Português' in 1993. In 2004, he received the Prémio Amália Rodrigues, a notable award in Portuguese music.
