The original lineup included Ricardo Aguirre, Luis Germán Briceño, Gustavo Aguado, Fernando Valderrama, and Ender Fuenmayor. They played traditional Venezuelan folk styles like gaita, joropo, and bolero, often using instruments like the charrasca.
In 1976, they released "Amparito," a song written by Briceño that became widely popular in Venezuela. Other songs like "La Moza" and "La Negra Del Tamunangue" also became part of their repertoire.
