Marcela Gandara formed the band Pensaba en Ti in Mexico around 1999. Their debut single, also called "Pensaba en Ti," found an audience with its straightforward emotional pull. The band released several albums over the following years, including Mi Diario in 2001 and Corazón Abierto in 2005.
Pensaba en Ti's lineup included Marcela Gandara on vocals, Juan Pablo Rincón on guitar, Adolfo Huerta on bass, and Mario Salazar on drums. Their music stayed within a familiar pop-rock framework, built around Gandara's songwriting and vocal delivery. The band's activity eventually slowed, with members pursuing other paths.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
