Marcelo Aguiar e Fernando started playing together in São Paulo in the mid-1990s. They worked as a duo, with both members handling vocals and guitar, and Fernando adding percussion. Their first big hit came in 2003 with 'Pra Mim Tanto Faz,' a song that caught on widely in Brazil.
After that single, they put out albums like 'Um Louco Amor' in 2005 and 'Por Te Amar Demais' in 2007. Other songs people remember include 'Direito a Felicidade' and 'Dona da Verdade.' They kept recording into the 2010s, with a live acoustic album in 2013.
At one point, around 2007, they got into a legal dispute with their former record label over royalties. They also sometimes talked about social and political matters in ways that drew some criticism. But mostly, they were known for straightforward, melodic songs that connected with listeners.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
