Marcelo Cezán is a Colombian singer-songwriter who formed a band under his own name in 1996. The group included Santiago Aristizábal on guitar, Carlos Alberto Duque on bass, and Héctor Copete on drums. They came from Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, a small town in Colombia.
Their debut album arrived in 2000 and contained the single 'Soy Para Ti,' which became a hit across Latin America. The band released several more albums, including 'Por Amor' in 2001, 'Atrévete a Mirarme' in 2003, and 'Abriendo Caminos' in 2007.
In 2006, Aristizábal and Copete left the band. The following year, Cezán's relationship with actress Geraldine Zivic attracted media attention.
