Marcelo Falcão started in Rio de Janeiro and eventually joined the band O Rappa in 1993. The group mixed rap, rock, and reggae with lyrics that often touched on social issues. After about fifteen years with them, he went solo in 2008 and put out his first album, 'Vê Se Quer.'
Some of his songs, like 'Senhor Fazei de Mim (Um Instrumento de Tua Paz)' and 'Viver (part. Lula Queiroga),' show his range from spiritual themes to collaborations. He also worked on tracks such as 'Pesadão (part. IZA)' and 'Mais Leve Que o Ar.'
His time with O Rappa included albums like 'Rappa Mundi' in 1996 and 'Nação Hip Hop' in 1999. The original lineup had Lauro Faria on guitar, Xandão on bass, Marcelo Yuka on drums, and Nelson Meirelles on percussion, with Falcão handling vocals.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
