Marcelo e Henrique were a Brazilian duo from São Paulo, with Marcelo Barbosa on vocals and guitar and Henrique Oliveira on vocals and bass. They worked in acoustic pop with lyrics drawn from their Christian faith, releasing albums like "A Cruz Que Ele Carregou" in 1999, "Filho Pródigo" in 2002, and "O Grande Milagre" in 2005.
Their song "A Cruz Que Ele Carregou" became particularly well-known in Christian circles in Brazil. They also recorded tracks like "Perigosa," "Absoluta," and "Descomplica."
Some religious listeners felt their music was too commercial compared to traditional gospel styles. They kept making music through the 2000s, putting out "Eu Sou Feliz" in 2008 and "Deixa o Teu Brilhar" in 2011.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
