His music often dealt with romantic themes, as heard in songs like 'Flor do Meu Jardim.' He recorded more than twenty studio albums throughout the 1980s, including 'Morena Linda,' 'Bailão da Serra,' and 'O Último Romântico.'
Santos performed with musicians including Zé Carlos on guitar, Beto on bass, Paulinho on drums, and Tim on keyboards. He died in 1998 at age 51.
