Marciel & Marcioni

Marciel & Marcioni are Brazilian brothers who started playing in São Paulo bars and clubs in the early 1980s. Their sound was built around acoustic guitar and straightforward vocals, with lyrics that leaned toward the sentimental. They released their debut album in 1985.

That album included 'Despedida,' which became their best-known song. It's a ballad about farewells that connected with listeners and has been covered by other artists over time. Another track, 'Voltes Para Mim,' follows a similar emotional vein.
